Not to get into a debate on the validity of TA, but I just wanted to point out that I feel that TA is much more applicable to internet stocks than anything else. Internet stocks tend to have short period trends with very definitive and strong movements. As such, short term TA can give you excellent indicators as to where the trend will be changing. Traditional stocks take a lot longer to switch trends and the indicators may be a lot fuzzier. With the strong movements typical of this sector, it's easy to identify overbought/oversold conditions. My opinion only.
