for Paul and all; I saw the latest Forbes : inside was an article called Reinventing Intel; available at forbes.com .It talks of the pc becoming like the light bulb; that speed of microprocessors will reach a point where speed in maxed out, ie apps will never need more power-- so the motherboard becomes a commodity too: it chronicles how Intel is looking to networking chips and e commerece for new profits; I dont know how accurate the article is: but it raises questions for me :How will intel look ten years from now; and where will profits come from?--please take a look at the article and respond--intel has been very good to me ---but like Mr Barrett, Im looking ahead.

Paul,

When RATS abandon a sinking ship, it's quite obvious.

I have been in and out of AMD on numerous occasions based on K7 news. I also have been quite vocal on the AMD thread about my lack of confidence in the K6 family.
