Very good point wrt relationship of RAS products - its potential profitability and how that relates to accretive-ness of a potential deal with LU.

The combination of the revenue/income numbers with strategic need for switching biz would offset the negatives of losing the revenue/income from the ras biz, imo.

Moonray's formula probably still holds true but rather than 2x you might just say 1.75x if they sell off RAS biz first. Besides, COMS holders still receive the other .25x for the RAS biz in that sell off.

All right guys, this is just in from sources in the Bay area. Looks like 3Com is indeed in talks with Siemens right now to sell their RA division. Could be announced in the next 7-10 days.
