I'd like to believe that Steve has passed on through "The Room of the Great Chess" to a more mystical existence than running options numbers discounting risks. I miss his unique outlook on things. Maybe I should say, I misc his unkqik ortlook in thins.

Since his beloved Pfief got canned from his alma mater CPQ after its swoon he will probably never be the same...build those schools! He was certainly right in spades about one thing. Never ever believe that Atmel stock will stand still. Peace be with you Steve Covin wherever you have gone.

He stopped taking his Prozac, grew a long beard, started wearing rags, joined the Brotherhood and is now advising Boris Yeltsin on God and the Russian economy. He has yet to change his name to "Rasputin".

I once said that steve (always small 's') did for bullshit what Stonehenge did for rocks. (With apologies to Cecil Adams). So now that I've been dragged into this by a link, I'm gonna say it again.

steve and the rest of the shysters vanished as soon as ATML crashed last year. By October, it was deathly quiet around here:

So I loaded up in November, after ATML had made a very nice double bottom and was coming out of the 'W'. Until a few days ago, I'd doubled my money... oh well.

I'm still holding, pissed as hell at management, but still willing to ride out the short term and hope for the 30's later this year. Although one more strike and they're outa here.
