I guess we'll see in regards to how 24 hour trading affects TA. I will admit I don't know for sure either way. For bar, line, kagi, 3line, PnF it won't make much difference but I think it could skew candles.

As for your download problems, I think I have been falsly accusing Reuters for my own indiced problems. I just figured out tonight that I can't have internet exploror or my mail open when attempting a download or it locks up. I closed my browser and mail and all of a sudden my data came in no problem. Might want to try it.

To all, I just updated my charts. Gee, only about 4 hours late. Is there anywhere that doesn't have conflicting signals. Wow!

S.O. - Good post!

Good Luck,

Lee

Very interesting discussion developing.

The effect of time on TA. Maybe one that deserves it's own thread due to the apparent determination by the powers that be to extend trading hours.

It is ironic that a similar discussion is taking place between TLC and Iceberg on the Point and Figure thread regarding the lack of time as
a variable ( to a certain extent).

I for one am long term bearish on extended trading hours, and , have been known to have been wrong <ggg>

Thanks to all for an ever improving thread.
