Thanks for the excellent suggestions. Haven't taken them to Philadelphia yet, that's slated for a weekend trip this spring. Don't know if they have seen everything in Washington, but they have seen a lot of it. What they really like are: Air and Space Museum; Natural History Museum; Baltimore Aquarium; spending hours in Border's reading books that they don't have to buy; eating at food courts so Ben can have pizza and the rest of us something other than pizza. Oh, and they love zoos.

I have suggested sending them to camp instead of going to England, and they have threatened mutiny. Ben wants to see King Arthur's castle. I have explained that there is no such thing. He knows that. I suppose I could just get some guide books from the library and let them plan the itinerary. I just want to see the British museum and shop at Harrods.

My dream vacation would be a walking tour, but I don't think they are quite up for that. Maybe they are, but not more than a couple of miles at a time.
