Most particularly, I am ambivalent about the opposition to banning assault weapons, which are largely used for nefarious purposes, and are too easily converted to automatic weapons. I think there may be a rationale in banning them, since they are too plentiful, and might become prohibitively expensive if there were not an extensive "grey market"...

I see Bubba is using the tragedy to further his agenda. I wonder if he ever listens to what he says. A 3 day waiting period on explosives? Duh? You have to be licensed to buy them now and I doubt those kids were using C4. Ban large cap magazines, that has already been done. Assault weapons also banned at the same time. The TEC9 the one boy had is on the no no list.

But like Hillary said, none of these proposals would have stopped the killings. But they are going to push them anyway.
