Let's give them a break people....the internet wasn't built in one day...lots of trial and error...the key here is that they had a ton of traffic and people like the concept of a declining price auction...the main key we must all remember is that it SOLD ITEMS....A little tinkering and a new host and everything should be fine.....THE SMART ONES are the ones that see past the debut and think about the REAL ISSUE....It's something new and definitely something people can live with....Canada's Dutch auction goes tomorrow night....let's see if they fix anything for that broadcast.

RealNetworks might have something cooking in this fire. It is great to familiarize the true net novice with streaming audio/video. Broadcast and RNWK should fully support this endeavor.

If my cable ISP were having problems - all of the other sites I was visiting would have been down also, (duh)... Like SI and as you can see I had no problem posting on SI....

This was not a problem with my cable provider it was BIDS's lame site - many others had the same problem.

I suggest you get real, and do it quick. You can pretend everything is fine and dandy now, but come 9:30 EST tomorrow reality rains when the stock starts trading...

You are right ,there are many reasons, for example tonights auction goes to the u.s.
There are 300 mill. people in the states if 10% goes on BID.COM's DUTCH AUCTION tonight it is bound to crash because everyone is crazy to get on the first live auction on a computer just like the 1600's when everyone was trying to get on the first telivision
