<< Licensed hunters and trappers pay for wildlife management with their
license fees and through taxes on their equipment. >> I think you would be hard pressed to demonstrate that wildlife is more abundant today because of hunting and trapping fees. You're telling me that all the wildlife that they take is offset by these fees? That's a laugh!
<<Also, the chicken littles did not refrain from driving their cars enough to
reduce the demand for oil and thus put the pipeline out of business,>> Oh really , and how would you know of the driving habits of environmentalists? <<so it's their fault>> Of course it is.You just want it to be! It couldn't be the fault of those who drive gas guzzling 4x4's now could it?
<<freedom is to be coveted and prized above rubies.>> But is it to be favored over the natural world ? Should there be no limits?
<<By the way, do you believe in catch and torture fly fishing or catch and eat?>> Well....Well... If it's a fight you're looking for you just found it! First tell me if the Trout could answer that question how do you suppose they would respond? Would they choose life after a barbless hook is removed [BTW I have on occasion seen these "tortured" fish resume feeding within minutes after release] or death with the knowledge that they are feeding some ones fat face? Watcha think? Your implication that wild trout as food is some how noble is bulls**t. In most cases it's cheaper to buy farm raised fish now ain't it? << marten, mink, weasels, bobcat ->>You trying to tell me you eat these?? If not why do you kill them? The difference between catch and release and what you practice is that when I leave the woods the environment is for the most part undamaged. When you leave it is diminished by your kill. Oh... but you pay fees [as do I ] so ....... I guess it's ok.
