Interesting that the rumor is .5 wcom shares for nextel. Might I suggest that wcom split its stock first, and then offer .5 wcom shares for nextel (making the purchase price in the 20's)<g>.

Mci had looked into nextel before the wcom deal. Most likely, high ranking individuals who remained with mciwcom are reinvestigating this approach to wireless. It fits the mci MO more than that of wcom. IMO.

hoodie -

Therre is something odd aobout this. I mean mobile wireless is a whole different ball game to fixed wireless and fixed wireless seems to make a great deal more sense to WCOM.

Also Cramer doesn't believe there is a NXTL deal so what is all the fuss about NXTL. The focus and attention is definately on NXTL but why is all this attention being directed there? Maybe we should be looking elsewhere .....at the acquisition of a fixed wireless carrier???????? Now what fixed wireless carriers stock has been going up quietly for the last few weeks?

Regards,

L
