I2 re <<<<<May I ask which web brokers you use and if you are satisfied with them?>>>>>
My main one is Schwab which has excellent customer service and decent research but charges $29.95 a trade which is high and does have its outages though usually if there's a problem they will take the trade over the phone at the web rate and if desperate they'll take the trade at an office. I just opened the other one, Jack White which is $12 a trade and which I started so I would have access to leveraged funds like Rydex, ProFunds and Potomac. I see now Schwab has access to these funds but If you don't get them on a no transaction fee basis they are a lot more expensive than the Jack White $24 flat fee for non no transaction fee funds. Whenever I call Jack White it takes about ten times longer to get through than Schwab. Note that Jack White is now owned by Waterhouse and I believe accounts will be folded into Waterhouse accounts sometime soon. Waterhouse has good ratings so would be one to consider. Jack White is the only one I know that allows shorting of mutual funds, something I'll probably never do but makes for interesting hedging opportunities
