Clarence,

I was surprised to hear that my LF demo didn't work for you, so I tried it myself and got the same thing as you.

I knew that I had it working (the demo) before, and remembered that I saw command.com as one of the files on the floppy. I checked, and it wasn't on there this time. I tried adding command.com and some other system files, but no success booting.

Long story short: I called PQ support and the guy told me to add the system files by going to DOS and typing

sys a:

at the C:> or at C:\Windows>

I did this and now it works!

I'm sure this is very basic for the DOS-aware among us, and I thought I had the basics, but I guess I've a ways to go.

I also asked whether LF writes to the HDD, and he said no it writes the drive's serial number to the LF floppy for identification/registration.

Sorry for the mix-up,
wily
