LONG and OT --
so you've been warned ......

Dang, the Maine cold has destroyed the math muscles in your brain pan ol bud ....... VBZGGGGG

POP Quiz, a week in advance
will the General give Bobby B 3 in a row out of a field of 20? or not?

hmmmmmm ---
today is 4/28
lets see .....
Wed=1, Thurs=2, Fri=3, Sat .... heck, that's the day ..
just how many days are there in a yankee week ? ?

ROFLMAO

OK ...
this is the second post I am sending on this subject ....
that Squid thingie got me and destroyed a beauty of a message with URLs concerning the horses I wrote about, and I had done a good job, too.....
oh well, I'm too lazy to do it all over again ...
so here is a plain version ... for which the thread can be thankful, especially the ones who don't give a hoot about the Run for the Roses ......

I like the field bet ..... but especially the following members of that group
PP9 Valhol even with the jock change from Patin to Willie
PP13 Kimberlite Pipe for Robbie will get all the colt has to give
PP3 Ecton Park who will be coming late
the other members of the field, while lesser aren't all cannon fodder

I LOVE 50/1 on PP8 (betting interest #7) Answer Lively for this colt *could* wake up and run to last years potential and if that happens .... watch out .....

Now, let me eliminate some .....

PP15 (#2B) General Challenge -- THE BB entry and THE favorite

PP18 (#12) Vicar with Shane up and trained by Nafzger at 6/1 and a likely contender

and
PP19 (#13) Menifee , a colt ol Bull Hancock would be proud of (he's dead but the farm is still Hancock and is family run) is trained by Elliot Walden (who has another horse in the race that I like too, Ecton Park)) and has a great rider in Pat Day

all three of these fine colts have their chances severely reduced by the horrible post positions ......
and lets me take them from consideration because the risk/reward ratio is out of kilter

and

I'll chunk out both fillies ....
#4 Three Ring and #2 Excellent Meeting who is coupled with the General

and

Baffert is grasping for the 3pete with the turfer PP14 (#9) Prime Timber .... Flores and the horse both should have stayed in Calif.

and

I'll go on and eliminate
Dellahoussaye's First American and Charismatic, too due to the way outside posts and them being lesser quality to begin with.... that's the horses, not the jocks ..... ggggg

and

I'm not too strong on Aljabr coming out of hole #5 whom I saw run in the Dubai and couldn't beat Worldy Manner and on top of that, he has changed jocks and trainer and going from grass to dirt .....

and

well, I think that's all I'll eliminate .......

but
I'll have to cover these with a wee bit of money ...

PP1 (#3) Adonis deserves better odds than 30/1 because Zito wins the Wood with him and he has been getting stronger

PP4 (#5) Stephen Got Even .. Zito put the oldster McCarron up and has trained this colt for this race and has basically hidden his true talent ... that's the horse, not the trainer ....gggg

So here are the remaining horsies ....
don't think I can bet these two, but might wish I had ...

Desert Hero .... too lightly raced and come from Ca and would suprise me, but ...... not totally out of it

Cat Thief ... couldn't beat Vicar but has seen the classiest ones Fla had to offer ..... could do something

a good wager for a combo of ability and odds ....
Worldly Manner ... I will have to place some money on this fine animal .. heck, he did bring $5 million bucks and this Arabic trainer is perhaps among the best in the world even tho relatively unknown here in the states ..... and Jerry Bailey is a top notch rider and he's from Texas, too ......

There you have it ...

this post really is short in comparison to the one the squid got and ate ......

I'm not a good handicapper of these route races and especially ones of this much clout and purse, so this post is only for entertainment .....

now if I get time to handicap one of the claiming sprints run earlier in the day at Churchill, I'll post it to you and then I'll know about the outcome more clearly ....... VBZGGGGGGG
