Jozef, thanks for asking. I am willing to wait and see what the new IBM ATA/66 drives will offer. My 10GB IBM will last another several months.

FYI, the 10GB 5,400 RPM IBM drive is the penultimate "shove it into a case and use it" drive. Cool, quiet, and low power draw. If you want REALLY fast backup, put one in a drawer and kiss tapes goodbye.

Mine sits in a fan-cooled drawer just waiting for a replacement. My next drive with be 20GB+, 7,200 RPM, ATA/66. My next video card WILL be the G400. And my next PC will have double the cycles of my 375 MHz boosted CeleronA (Yes ... I did order a CeleronA/433 but the jerks wouldn't ship it to my home because my cards are paid at the office ... a 433 boosted to 488 would have been a nice treat while I wait but I figure that when things are going badly, pushing hard only makes them worse).

Price is no object but value is. If I have to open that case once more there had better be a darn'd good reason. I, like you, have better things to do than to spend a week tweaking a system for an extra point or two in the latest Wintune/Winmark/Winbench test. I leave that to Anand (Thank you Anand!)
