John, my post spoke no ill of Fred other than to say his willingness to accept J/L was ill conceived. This is something I stated when he was still alive. I brought it up not to criticize Fred but to contest sh's statement that we were all calling for him to compromise. We were not. As to motivation, none of us can no for sure what lies in some one else's heart. But we are talking about running a company. I don't give a damn for good intentions if it is not accompanied with sound business judgement. A well intentioned fool is more dangerous than an obvious villain.
