Curious thought: MUEI's valuation has fallen so much that if MU sold MUEI and wrote off Lehi the net dollars would be about zero. The net net would be a write off in the hundreds of millions.

MU has a number of poorly performing assets (MUEI, Lehi, TI fabs, microstamp stockpile....). They can't close the TI fabs but they could ditch MUEI and Lehi to raise a few bucks and clean up the books and "focus on their central core business".
