Wow, what a brilliant analysis, DMA. The fact that Harris was getting psychiatric treatment goes a little against the other conservative lines du jour, of course, like it's the parents fault, or we need school uniforms. Aside from that, it's important that we stigmatize antidepressants and mental health care in general. We wouldn't want troubled people to seek treatment, would we? Better that they seek guns.

The treatment obviously failed in this instance, of course. But it does work, often enough. Do you have an alternative in mind? Does the brilliant Drudge have a solution on his site? Do you have any idea how widely used antidepressants are these days?

Actually, he was supposed to be on Luvox. They are now speculating that he went off the drug thinking he could get into the Marines. This would explain a lot if it turns out to be true.
