Tom's crusher bmark for PIII using TNT2 (1024x768x16): 51
Anand's crusher bmark for PIII using V3-3000 (1024x768): 48

Which is more indicative of multi-player play - crusher or massive? Isn't crusher the one that uses those really huge textures created by S3 to showcase it's texture compression algorithm?

So - ACCORDING TO TOM - the TNT2, at the higher clock speed, at 1024x768 can't ever run faster than 69.1 fps on Quake 2 Timedemo 1 NO MATTER HOW FAST THE CPU IS!

That's pretty sad.

Of course, if it was a 3dfx card turning in those results he would have splashed it all over his headlines. What are the odds of him repeating those tests with a V3 3500 installed? (he asks rhetorically)

Plaz,

Good to have you on as one of the "brigade". Of course you must receive your commission from Chip...

Looks like I'll be the only one that will be in San Jose tomorrow for the meeting. I'll bring back the scoop.
