Brian,

RE " What's going to happen later this year/early '00 when all of the people selling today are buying at much higher prices? "

This statement sure struck a sentimental chord in their hearts --- I saw the stock trading at 51 3/8!... after I read it.

RE " This latest drop of 30% came as quite a surprise to me. But after last October's rout, I'm ready for anything<GGG> "

I'm surprised too!... Even my Spy can't explain --- that's why he went into hiding...

Ok, someone tell me why I shouldn't be betting the farm on nvls/klac again? Stop me before I hurt myself! I got the last two bottoms, but held too long in 97 and not long enough at the end of last year. Left a ton of money on the table. Nvls is at ~47, a number that it has bounced off before. Some of you remember that I know all the positive spin. I simply want to know why the sudden weakness? Isn't Asia still rebounding? Is dram price weakness really occurring? We had a fake out drop in April 97 also, as I recall, when amat ran from 21 to 54, but it weakened to about 39. This is all by memory. It then shot over 100, all pre the last split.

Is this for real?I can't believe I will see nvls slip to 39 with the book to bill over 1.30.
