>>>are the divisions too far separated >>>with no relationship or connection? The Xybernaut contract goes to a Siemens division with more than 53,000 employees (reference: xybernaut.com . The Mentis contract goes to a Siemens division with less than 1600 employees (reference: siemenselectrocom.com ). Fred, your latter notion definitely gets my vote. Just as each division in most any corporation will have Dell, IBM, HP, and Compaq desktop and laptop PCs all over the place, there is good reason to believe that each person responsible for wearable purchases will review and select their favorite brand of wearable PC. >>>Does anyone know how these products >>>compare (Mentis vs. MA-IV) I've heard only good reviews about the fit and feel of the MA-IV. Still these reviews are few and far between on threads like Yahoo and Raging Bull. I've been trying to contact EnPoint in Minneapolis (I called again early today) to see if they have anything in town I can sneak a peek at, but they never answer the phone. Actually, I don't believe EnPoint would want anything to do with me because I'm only interested in studying the construction of MA-IV. Frankly, I don't see any reason why the MA-IV, Mentis, or ViA, can't all offer the same performance. They all use the same Pentium MMX, and a speed change involves only a crystal change and possibly a PC board trace reroute or shielding update. Seems like any of the wearables should be able to run from 166MHz to 300MHz as they sit. It basically comes down to price and power consumption. Mentis might be stuck at 166MHz because they prebuilt all their machines and have to clear inventory. I dunno. Also, I just noticed the FAB release indicated the MA-IV runs at 233/266MHz, while all other recently found sources still say 200/233MHz. I'm not sure what the MA-IVs correct clock speed is. I thought more PRs said 233/266MHz. Guess I'm wrong. At any rate, TELT (Maker of Mentis) is up 53% today and about 150% in the past couple days on that Siemens news alone. I wonder if any will rub off on XYBR? Maybe investors are just busy scratching their heads over Xybernaut's iron-clad patent portfolio. Shoe.
