Isn't that the truth, if you want to do anything in that neck of the woods, post thaw, roads are truly a BIG deal. Having said that the next area to be worked, I am told, is in particularly good shape, access wise. So we should be able to get a fair bit done.

You're not alone. Nobody has ever gotten a good look at actual muskeg... the view is generally blocked by clouds of mosquitos and black flies the size of baseballs...
