IMHO the cable guys will win the race to their installed base with broadband access. The RBOCs are too worried about cannabalizing their leased line revenue. I have MediaOne access (in Ann Arbor, MI) now two way and love it. The cost is $39 per month, less than what I was paying for ISDN service at 15x the speed! The cable box manufacturers will be busy, as will be 3COM and Intel as you need a NIC to hook up instead of a modem.

regards
Stew
