Internuts = (hopes + dreams + no track record + rapidly growing market + few barriers)XMomentum
Hopes + dreams - eventually these must transform into a deliverable result, if not it becomes a dissapointment factor
No track record - this evolves, for the time being it's to the advantage of those holding the stock, eventually a record is developed which will speak for itself both for individual companies as well as for the sector.
Rapidly growing market - BIG advantage to the early leaders, growth rates slow, market attracts additional players. Rapid growth doesn't continue forever.
Few barriers - This will be the killer of a number of internuts. Speed of change, the eventual attraction of large well healed corporations and good old fashion competition will make the buck elusive to a number of companies.
Momentum - The great magnifier. It has been a big plus, when the shine wears off of the imaginative view of the future and goes negative to realistic look out!

I think there are those on this thread who are outright bears in the sense that they feel all internets will crash and burn and never make a dime. There are others like myself who are fundamental internet bulls who feel the stocks are way ahead of themselves and will correct on the order of 50%+. There will be a few survivors, out of which will be born the next MSFT/INTL/DELL...most likely an infrastructure play. The problem is there are too many bulls waiting in the wings like me, waiting for the mother of all corrections in order to get in. I'll let you know when I throw in the towel. Regards
