Gary (aka OG), I appreciate your input in many cases, but some of the things you say lead me to believe that you are a shill for CSCO. In the interest of honesty, can you confirm or deny that CSCO compensates you, in whole or in part, for monitoring and participating in this or other threads?

I have to repeat myself again, but the 5ESS is a PLATFORM that supports
MULTIPLE services, both wireless and wired. Now this PLATFORM supports
Circuit switched technology and Packet switched technology. Where did I state the
5ESS didn't support circuit switching?

oh my... Yes yes yes.. .I know i know. BUT, the architecture is TDM. It's not an issue of interfaces is an issue of underlying architecture.

This leap of faith
theory, trust me, doesn't go very far with the ILEC's.

Agreed. Lead of faith is not what the ILEC's are known for and they will not "migrate" until they have to. CLEC's, Independents and even the IXC's will drive this change and the ILEC's will be dragged along kicking and screaming. Some SP's will try to get more mileage out of their circuit switches and this will indeed work for a few years however over time they'll find that they'll be unable to compete effectively against new upstarts and more forward thinking SP's that move to lower cost, lower maintainence architectures.
