stilts,

I think by now most everybody on the Ascend, Lu, 3Com, Fore, and many other threads know that OG (Gary) works for Cisco. In fact until about 2 years ago Cisco appeared in his e-mail address. In fairness to Gary he does play the Devil's Advocate quite well but it certainly is obvious who signs his paychecks.

I don't know if Chamber's compensates him for monitoring these threads but maybe he should. Gary spends a large amount of time and energy defending Cisco on SI.

Cheers,

Steve

I can say in all honesty that that is NOT the case.... I love this stock and I think this company is up for years of growth. My questions are intended to elicit a response. The question still at hand is how will SP's that are using circuit switching architectures (regardless of interfaces) compete against SP's that move to newer, more flexible, lower cost environments. Can anyone answer this? I know this is difficult since no large SP has really moved to deploy this newer technology, but when/if one does will they be in a better competitive postition and if so, how will SP's with older technology compete.
