MGV and Caxton -

Yes Bernie has certainly proved he knows what he is doing but this mobile business is fraught with competitive nightmarish margin preasures that are only likely to get worse.

Everyone and his Grandmother wants to be in the mov=bile business becuase you can charge inflated prices per rounded minute and its difficult for consumers to track the dropped calls and the costs. True there all sorts of new and cheaper deals coming on the market but they are still more expensive than fixed line connections.

I had thought that the delivery of broadband to fixed wireline or fixed wireless customers was going to be WCOM's strategy and that once you got a customer with that kind of service it would be very difficult for a competitor to take him away.

That was a great strategy I thought. But mobile wireless is the second-hand auto business of the telecom industry and with the ever cheaper cost of handsets youy can move suppliers almost daily with complete ease.

Regards,

L
