<<Actually I found the best part of the show was observing the opera type.. I felt like a spy;-)>>

Sometimes the spectators are more of a show than the performance! ;)

Im an avowed people watcher, and I must give credit to my girlfriend who was born to be a psychologist for showing me a thing or two as well about human behavior. Its funny how people become painfully aware of their social standing in "formal" occasions, they take on what they percieve as "proper" behavior. Its not that they thought the Opera was actually good, they thought it was good because they thought they should think it was good! LOL! Sort of the phenomenon of people taking on speech patterns which they percieve to be "proper English" when being interviewed in a situation where they percieve the interviewer to be of a higher social status than they. One of my anthropology professors in college is a linguist, and demonstrated this to me once. Interesting stuff. :)
