The options activity in MSFT indicates a cause for concern if you believe in this indicator

Yesterday, the most active contracts were

Jun 80 puts 5692 contracts Open Interest 2571
Jun 70 puts 3835 contracts Open Interest 522
May 85 calls 3138 contracts Open Interest 20,300

Leaps

Jan 00, 75 calls 2259 contracts last trade 15 3/4
Jan 00, 50 puts 1010 contracts last trade 1

It is a concern to see the large activity in puts. Also, the deep in the money leaps are a negative. Of course, some people use options as a contrary indicator.

Please note that 4500 June 70 puts have traded today. The low has been 15/16 and the high has been 1 1/16. The trades have been on both sides. This option had an open interest of 522 yesterday. Why have nearly 8500 contracts traded in just a day and 2 hours? Please note that this could just be some manipulation by market makers to send out a false signal. These contracts represent only $8.5 million while MSFT daily trading amounts to $2 billion a day ($80 x 25 million shares).

In any case, the volume of MSFT puts is very interesting. Any comments will be appreciated.
