There has been some discussion regarding the date GNET's split is to occur.
I responded to a post and erroneously gave my opinion that the split pay date would be the 18th of May.

I e-mailed Go2Net Investor Relations and received this response:

After reporting earnings last week, GNET announced a 2 for 1 stock split.
The record date is May 17, 1999. The payable date has yet to be determined
as shareholders need to approve the authorization of additional shares. The
shareholder meeting has not yet been scheduled but should happen in
mid-June. If approved, the payable date will be about one week later, so
we're looking at late June for the payable date.

There you have it, straight from the horses mouth!
