Bill, I don't exactly mean to be patronizing, but comparing Clinton to the greatest mass murderers of all times is deep- end stuff, and it is not much of a defense of Clinton to object to it. I dislike tangling with you on this, since the vast majority of your posts are reasonable, but recklessness is not the same as deliberate mass murder. We know that Stalin meant for the Ukraine to starve, and that Mao deliberately continued policies that were leading to mass starvation, and we know that they were more actively responsible for mass political murders. The Nazis exceeded both, not in numbers or callousness, but in the sheerly macabre way in which they engaged in systematic extermination. One must observe meaningful differences. As I have said before, it trivializes their crimes, as much as anything else...
