but it seems to me a great competetive advantage for the future when people realize that a fast connection between user and ISP is not enough.

Well, we never get enough, but a moving the bottleneck to the backbone IS a competitive advantage, for Pete's sake. ATHM users will experience much faster throughput than dial up and most xDSL services. The added pressure on the backbone will have equal relative effect on everybody, regardless of their ISP connection.

I suspect our friends at WCOM and CSCO will be very happy to relieve backbone pressure, and I am sure that they will be invited to do so. They always have.
