MB: The station operator hit an emergency switch that sealed off the tank systems, so there were no further explosions...but yeah, they were lucky.

Mike - my favorite Cramerism of all time was this week on CNBS when he said he was buying MSFT aggressively overnight because he read in the sports section that the big name lawyer for MSFT was moving on to the Washington Redskins case. Haynes even made a big deal about such great research. I choked on my orange juice. Hope Cramer got a whole bunch in the mid eighties - it looked very punk into Friday, around $80 and change.

On another topic, do you think the big Asia runup is a parallel to the big runups here in the semis and equipment stocks? Fast money looking way out ahead for any hope and then ramping it big time. I can't fathom how they are going to get domestic demand up with all the coming layoffs in Japan. China still seems a wild card too. Plus if we slow or crash, that would take them down even more. Everyone and his mother is saying Asia is the place to be- makes me wonder if I shouldn't get some poots.

Thanks,

Peter

MB - Another reality check in our new paradigm:

Priceline mkt cap = Delta + American + Hilton

Who needs real businesses? Running airlines and hotels is a pain compared to having a web site that feeds off the scraps.

Amazed,

Peter

Mike

This just in from a guy who had relatives on both the Bismark, and in General Custers army...enjoy!!-g-

>>I just received a hardcopy letter from Schwab saying that after careful consideration, my cmgi shares are no longer marginable, and that they are moving them from my margin account to my cash account (!). Apparently, there is no change in policy for the amzn or ebay in my the same account....

Does not give me a real secure feeling about cmgi's current valuation, the near-term prospects for this stock and my other internet holdings, or the near-term prospects for the stock market in general....

But I am in it for the long haul. These stocks have been too good to me, these companies are just too solid, and the internet revolution continues full steam ahead.

Remaining long cmgi, amzn, aol, athm, ebay, gnet, rnwk, yhoo no matter what.
<<

No matter what!!!! You gotta love his resolve... as they said in Wyoming,(or was it Colorado) that clear morning.."that's one hell of allot of indians!"-g-
