AJ, Nice editing job. The one thing that bothers me out of all of this is why Ritterreiser picked the PHLX? Doesn't that seem a little desperate? If the bigger exchanges wanted him, why didn't he choose them? Maybe he gambled on the PHLX surviving and thought he could strike a better deal with them since they are a weaker hand? Appears he's got a few other logs on the fire also: scoping Canada and Asia, and also has in mind an ECN type deal like ISLD. His ECN would probably be better run than ISLD (not that ISLD is bad -- don't know if I'd still be trading if it weren't for ISLD), but it would have to gain a foothold. ISLD wants to become an exchange. Anyone have any idea as to their motives? w
