If there is going to be a Market Y2K scare, I would expect it fairly well into 99. Fall seems to be the time for strong market corrections so Sept fits perfectly.

Have you looked at Coleman and Sunbean. Both under $10 and both make camping/survival equipment. Sunbeam owns a large % of Coleman.

Someone with some TA experance might be able to pin point some dates where the Market is likely to correct....

Re 9999:

The date Sept. 9 1999 is denoted as 09/09/99 not 9/9/99. Then there's the forward slashes in there which are also distinguishing character differences so I wouldn't count on any early Y2K meltdowns.

My Cobol teacher taught us to use -9999 to end our code with BUT that is a totally different variable than the date. Don't worry about Sept. 9, 1999 has nothing to do with ending a program. ((Unless the program is setup to end when the DATE = Sept. 9, 1999.))
