Hi William,
I think you and I can agree that personal insults and ad hominem attacks are best avoided here and in general. Let us hope that in future civility will reign here.

<<<Off Topic>>>
I think it is often true that people are told to seek legal advice when there is no need.

Of course it is possible for reasonable people to disagree, and others might think
Any risk justifies obtaining legal advice.

In this Kudlow situation, I would agree that IF a suit were actually brought, good legal advice should be sought. But that possibility is so remote that seeing a lawyer would be very premature, imho.

I saw your advice to BigBull as playing into what I saw as a poor practical joke, encouraging him to waste time and money to protect himself from an illusory threat.

Due to that perception, my tone in my previous post to you was not what it should have been; Could even be considered snappish.
I regret that.
But I do still maintain that the wording of the at-issue post was not actionably libelous and no real risk of suit exists. The post was rude and inappropriate, but not libelous. imo.

You make a good point that there is a lesson to be learned here.
All this wasted time and energy.
Everyone simply being courteous would have been very much preferable.

regards,
diana
