MB, where's the nearest casino(s) in LA relative to Houston? As well as any recommendations or warnings (ie if you get caught counting cards at Jack Binion's - one of his relatives was convicted in Nevada for connections to the mob- house, you might end up visiting fishes). Also, Houston has a dog/pony track or something to that effect. Where does a newbie learn about the ins ands outs of losing money intelligently (or winning as the case may be) at the track? (ie books, web sites, guy named vinnie at the corner of x and yth street).
