joyce-

I too am a big fan of WCOM and I was happy until the announcement.

There is all the difference in the World between taking over an established major like MCI with existing profit and revenue growth, huge fat overhead to rationalze over a period of years, large employye base that can be rationalized and an establshed franchise on the one hand and NXTL on the other.

I wonder how large the price for NXTL will be compared with the price that WCOM paid for MCI? Looks like about a third or thereabouts. Otheres here may have the exact numbers expected. It seems very, very rich for NXTL to have a value comparable with MCI's. I guess thats the nub of it.

If they were to buy NXTL in the upper teens that would still be a very rich value.

Still the way the NXTL price is going it looks vey much as though they have got Bernie hooked. I don't know who's negotiating for NXTL but he's doing a fantastic job so it seems.

Best regards,

L
