It sounds like we agree on the y2k stuff. Whether or not I conveyed this in my message is another matter. My examples are real world and not speculation, but I also understand that my sample set may be skewed.

I have been in several customer meetings within the past few months where the active discussion by the customer was how to transfer funds earmarked for Y2K remediation into the capital equipment budget. This was both government and private enterprises.

I don't doubt that the Y2K FUD will cause some market concern, but I will tend to discount them.
