T is an awesome firm, well run, rich with a p/e around a tenth of AOL, yet with a greater mkt cap

Maybe I'm not reading you right? If you meant AOL has a higher MC then disregard.

Market cap scoreboard:
MSFT - 410.3 Billion
AOL - 133.3 Billion
T - 88.5 Billion

Looks like the Comcast/T bid will be decided by Thursday:

bloomberg.com

I can't disagree with your comments, and if the battle with T is going to keep you up at night, then maybe you need to be on the sidelines for this week. As for me, I see this as a positive in the long run, however it turns out. If AOL is successful in taking a stake in Comcast, it will begin to lay out a cable strategy. If not, AOL can keep working the DSL and wireless rollouts for this summer while awaiting another cable oppoortunity.

One thing, though, when I look at the charts I think technically AOL looks stronger to the upside than to the downside. It is once again at its 50 day ma, the stochastic looks to me like a weak buy signal, and the ROC and money flow look like they want to turn up. We might see a stronger indication one way or the other tomorrow. I defer to Vendit, though, for a better analysis.

Good luck, whatever you decide to do!

Steeny,

Most of the regular posters to this thread regardless of their AOL position are no longer margined of leveraged. The Houses sent out a warning signal several weeks ago that if you were leveraged it was time to regroup.

Investors in AOL are who is left in my opinion. We are decidedly long and not easily shaken. This stock has gone from $94 last December up to $350 and back to about $284 in the last 4 months. Most us us can withstand a mightier blow than the last 2 weeks has dealt us with nothing more then a yawn.

If you agenda is to make money with this one long (AOL) then relax and it will happen very soon for you. if you want to trade it that is fine also. I look forward to your views.
