Larry -
I owned some DELL in 1992 which I sold in December of that year. A good friend of mine had fallen in love with the stock on the great rise in late 92 and he sold most of his other stock and put it into DELL in fall of 92. When DELL started to tumble, he convinced himself that it was just a buying opportunity, went on margin and bought some more, almost doubled down. Of course, DELL dropped more than 50% in value over the next few months and my buddy had to borrow from his father-in-law, mortgage his house and almost went into bankruptcy trying to satisfy his margin calls. The stock did not get back near his basis cost for almost 2 years and by that time he was nearly wiped out. 10 years of saving and working the market disappeared in 4 months and never came back.

I have mentioned this cautionary tale several times on this thread but of course nothing like that could ever happen again, this is a great buying opportunity.
