Nice post Chimnoy.
Agree with the first part. The argument to open cable lines will be strengthened. Don't agree with the second part. There are good reasons to team with MSFT. I'm sure if AOL had choices, MSFT wouldn't be high on the list, but they have the cash and AOL doesn't. I would not take it as a given that Congress will open up cable lines.

Good analogy on CNBC this morning re:AOL & MediaOne....

Why buy the empire state building if you only want to use the elevator?

I for one hope AOL & MediaOne do not tango...

MediaOne Accepts AT&T Takeover, Ends Comcast Pact - this is really big and bad news for AOL. Kinda the first step in nailing the coffin shut on a long term scale. AOL really needed access to the cable modem market and lost it big today.
