"Brand names are going to mean very, very much to people among the thousands of names offered on the Internet," Buffett said. "I don't see them going for Brand X and buying fine jewelry over the Internet."

This quote from Buffett implies great things for Amazon.com, one of the most recognized and generally admired Internet companies. The admiration comes from customers and some shareholders, but not from you so much, Glenn ;-).

This comment also suggests your jewelry sales could benefit from the Internet. Is Buffett right about the jewelry?

Randy

Glenn,
At least some of AOL's sadness is attributable to peoples worries that they are going to overbid/get into a bidding war with MSFT and Comcast against T for UMG. I expect some recovery after thursday for AOL if they don't join in the bidding.
