NetMoves Broadens Its Developer Toolkit by Adding Unix and Linux Versions

Developers Continue to Increase the Number and Variety of On-Ramps to NetMoves' Solutions

EDISON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1999--NetMoves, formerly FaxSav (NASDAQ NM: FAXX - news), the leader in Internet Fax, today announced the addition of solutions for the popular Unix and Linux operating systems to its rich set of tools used by developers to build Internet Document Delivery (IDD) transparently into their applications.

According to a recent International Data Corporation study, the market share for Linux jumped from 6.8 to an estimated 17.2 percent of server operating system shipments in 1998. Linux has significant market penetration in web servers and is becoming popular in embedded and turnkey applications, including Internet firewalls, routers and Point of Sale (POS) systems. It is becoming increasingly popular with Fortune 1000 companies, as well as smaller companies, who realize the potential for significant cost savings and improved system versatility. Linux growth, coupled with the availability of NetMoves' developer tools for Unix and Linux increases both the number and range of environments which will use the NetMoves' network for high-volume delivery of business-critical documents.

NetMoves sells the Unix/Linux solution, named FaxLauncher/U, as two standalone executables -- FaxLauncher/U Send and FaxLauncher/U Query. The first utility, FaxLauncher/U Send, packages and securely deliveries documents to the NetMoves network. The second, FaxLauncher/U Query, is a utility providing real-time status capability to determine the progress of the delivery. The solution for Unix-style Linux and SunO operating systems has utilities that integrate into development languages such as Perl, commonly used for Ecommerce web site CGI programming. Versions for FreeBSD and SCO UnixWare will be available this quarter.

''The NetMoves API (Application Programming Interface) library was extremely straight-forward and allowed us to easily integrate NetMoves' Internet Fax technology into a variety of custom software solutions,'' said Scott Brause, V. P. of software development at Xsoft, Inc. ''When necessary, NetMoves provided us assistance and advice during the development process. Every integration question was answered in a timely fashion.''

''There are two benefits to being the market leader,'' stated Bill Fallon, VP of Marketing, ''First, developers who want the very best come looking for you. Second, other market leaders in hardware, software, Internet and services arenas want to increase customer value by integrating your product into theirs -- and they only want to work with the best. Our years of experience enabled us to create a toolset that makes it easy for developers to build IDD right in - while our stability and reliability has given us the credibility in the marketplace so that we're the partner of choice for business.''

As a recognized leader in Internet Document Delivery, NetMoves has partnered with some of the largest and most widely-respected companies, to build its technology -- and thus, access -- to the NetMoves Network right into their products and applications. These include:
