Maybe it's that with daytrading, you'll hold larger positions knowing that if things go against you, you can get out relatively quickly. With swing trading maybe you'll have smaller positions in more stocks.

I'd rather get out of 5000 shares of EBAY with a 1/4 loss in a few minutes intraday that 5000 shares of EBAY with a position that's gone against me 20 points overnight.

Must be nice to have enough equity to not worry about margin costs.
