Best & Worst Daytrading Broker?

Because of the special needs and wants of the active daytrader (versus the less frequent online trader) I have decided to start this thread so that we can share experiences and information concerning those brokers who offer a real-time trading facility, learn the pitfalls to avoid in choosing such a broker, etc.

Critisism is fine as long as it is constructive. All comments must be based on personal experiances or information you can substantiate. No hyping - just the facts.

Many of the firms offering daytrading facilities (such as CyBerBroker, Polar Trading, etc) have their own threads at which employees of the firm provide information - however comments about rival/competing brokers are frowned upon, hence this thread.

If we compare these services fairly we will help each other identify who is worth going to. Who knows, we may even raise the standard of service we get!

I'm going to start the ball rolling by saying that I have an account with CyBerBroker for the past 8 months. I like their CyBerTrader software so much I even worked with them for a while, before leaving recently to go back to my profession as a trader.

I find CyBerBroker reliable throughout the whole day and like the software. I hope they keep adding direct access to more ECNs (in addition to the Island and Attain). At $19.95/ticket their fees are about average for daytrading brokers. With a few exceptions, their customer support is very good, including a live "Communicator" module in the software which allows you to talk directly one of them from your PC while trading.
