Robert: The problem with your post is that things never worked that way in the past. Prior to this most recent downturn, the semi industry never suffered through a three year downturn. While no one would seriously challenge your assertion that the semi business is a cyclical industry, your assertions that it was a reliable three up and three down cycle is simply wrong and misleading.
