@Home does slow down as you add more people to the node, I was the first and only person on my node for a while, and it was as fast as lightning. Now it is slowing, also the darn network is down very frequently, so you must carry a backup ISP if you have @Home. And when the network is down, there is no one to call to ask about it, you just have to grin and bear it until it works again, a frustrating experience. Kinda reminds you of the online brokers, and all these other miracle internet companies who are not held to the same standards of customer service that traditional businesses are, yet are afforded stratospheric market caps... I've heard that DSL is vaporware....and that the buildout is only going to be in certain metro areas...I'm gonna ask my brother he posts on this board, and works for WorldCom on stuff like that..
