DIIG talked about bidding on OEM facilities so it was just a question of what and when. FLEX has done quite a bit with Ericcison in Sweden. I am sure FLEX probably bid on this also. I think it is another opportunity to expand and 100 million for DOV is signifcant revs. Depends on how much they paid I guess.I think they will have to invest more to get highend caability.

A relatively small operation compared to FLEX purchase.

The recent purchase by FLEX of an Ericsson plant in Visby, Sweden, seems to be a much larger acquisition. That plant employs about 900 people, versus 300 at this site.

However, this could be a step in the right direction for Dovatron. The products produced at this plant are relatively mature products, but should have long tails. Interestingly Flextronics operations in Central Europe are managed out of Austria. Considering the close relationship FLEX has with Ericsson, I suspect FLEX had a shot at this Austrian plant. Either they passed on the opportunity, or were outbid.

The big news for DIIG still isn't out yet... i.e. the outcome of the Nortel contract.

I do like the moves Dovatron has made in Czech Republic and China recently; they have finally moved to become a global player in a big way. Too bad they lagged their competition by about two years. Dovatron has diversified from the overdependence on one HP product as well. Also the Multek moves in China and Germany are interesting. And hopefully Dii Semiconductor's operations won't put a drag on earnings growth anymore. Unfortunately, DIIG's balance sheet hasn't fully recovered from the Orbit debacle, and this will limit them from taking on too many of the new opportunities out there.

This is all just my opinion.
