†... Good morning Mark...†

You said in regards to God:
Unconditional love means that someone loves you regardless of everything.
Regardless of any sin, any fault, anything at all.

You are right Mark, that is exactly how He love us all!

There is no eternal torture for anyone, only eternal glory and peace for those who come to the truth of Christ. I will elaborate on this further as soon as I get the chance, if you are interested....Hopefully still yet today.

There are no conditions on His Love......But there are conditions on living in eternal glory with Him.

Do you love your kids Mark? Will you ever stop loving them?
Do you have rules and guide lines that they are asked to follow?
Do you advise them as a loving parent as to those things in life which will help them along the way?
Do you set limits as to how far they can stray from home?
If they go beyond those limits, do you forgive them anyway?
How about curfews? Do you have any?
Are your children expected to obey them?
Do you restrict their privileges when and if they defy you, even continually?
Do you forgive them when they say I'm sorry, and really mean it?
Do they sometimes think you, or some of your house rules are unfair?

I trust that as a good father you do all the above...and never stop loving them.

Or are your children allowed to run the streets at all hours, and do exactly as they please all the time.
Would you like it if they rebelled totally and decided to live with a friends parents, because their parents had no real rules?
Or maybe they just had more money that you and could buy them more things?
Or maybe they believed their friends parents just had a better philosophy on life.
And I'm willing to bet that even if they did run out on you to some other that you would still love them.... in spite of all their rebelling....
You get the point by now Mark, don't you?

Mark do yourself a favor, a big favor, stop thinking in terms of torture when it comes to God and His love for the world. Torture is your concept of what happens to those who refuse to believe that Christ is the messiah! It may be that you have listened to those who have a very inaccurate understanding of ....What becomes of the soul who at the end, has not received the truth of Jesus!

Your understanding of the end is also probably flawed.

I will get back to you on this ASAP Ok?

Shalom...><>
BTW...It was tuna! Just as you suspected.

Mark,

I was lying awake last night thinking about what you said about God and unconditional love. What I am about to offer is opinion, so take it as that.

Looking back at some of what you post about why you do not believe in God's word, and His Son's saving act, it looks to me that the only conditional love is yours(man's). Rather than learn and digest in faith and allow God to work in your life, you judge the Almighty, and His acts. You are the one putting conditions on what The Almighty should or should not be, and how you don't like some of how you consider His acts. ( Yet He still loves you)

God created and said it was good. Man destroyed and said "it's your fault", and ever since has made mockery and found fault with God's plan for man(kind)

What do I consider? Do I consider whether The Almighty is worthy of my respect? OR do I consider how I react to a God Who went as far as to die for me?

Amazing grace how sweet the sound.

that is the sound of love.

1 Cor. 13:
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Phil. 2:
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
