Headline: Fingermatrix to Attack Cyberspace Identity Problem

======================================================================
ELMSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1999--Fingermatrix Inc.
(OTC BB:FINX), a pioneer in electronic fingerprinting technology,
which last week, as a part of an exchange agreement, acquired 51
percent of FMX Corp., another developer of similar equipment,
announced today that it will immediately combine these resources to
pursue completion of a fingerprint-based system to authenticate the
identity of e-commerce customers.
"Despite meteoric expansion of the Internet and World Wide Web,
cyberspace still needs a means of positive identification," said Lewis
S. Schiller, chairman of Fingermatrix. "Last week's acquisition puts
us in position to pursue a solution to this problem using the security
of a fingerprint."
The Fingermatrix-FMX team already has systems that control access
to computer networks or physical areas with a single digitized
fingerprint.
